She's the first Irish woman to medal at more than one Olympic Games.

Boxer Kellie Harrington has guaranteed herself at least a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The defending lightweight champion scored a unanimous victory over Colombia's Angie Valdes Panna.

Indeed, the Dubliner is the first Irish woman to medal at more than one Olympic Games. She already won gold at Tokyo 2020.

Harrington faces either Brazilian Beatriz Ferreira or Chelsey Heijnen from the Netherlands in the last four.

Earlier, Jude Gallagher's Olympic journey is over. The Tyrone native lost to Carlo Palaam on a split decision in the men's 57kg category.

And Roscommon's Aoife O'Rourke is fighting in the middleweight quarter-finals tonight. The Castlerea native faces Poland's Elzbieta Wojcik.
