Four-in-a-row Premier Division champions Shamrock Rovers have just one player on the PFAI Team of the Year.
Roberto Lopes is their sole representative on the side voted by the players within the top flight.
Derry City, Shelbourne, St Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians each have two players. Dundalk’s Archie Davies and Cork City’s Ruairi Keating also make the cut.
Jonathan Afolabi was the division’s top scorer with 15 goals and is shortlisted for Player of the Year. St Pats midfielder Chris Forrester and Ruairi Keating are also nominated.
The nominees for Young Player of the Year include Sam Curtis (St Pat's), James Clarke (Bohemians) and Jack Moylan (Shelbourne).
Meanwhile, Galway United dominate the First Division team of the year with no fewer than six representatives. Whereas, Waterford’s Ronan Coughlan is nominated for Player of the Year having scored 37 goals. Galway’s David Hurley and Stephen Walsh complete the shortlist.
