Down man Jack Turley claimed the inaugural Monaghan Wallball open handball tournament on Saturday August 12th.
Turley claimed the senior open title against local player Terry McElvaney of Monaghan Harps, 21-11 after a fantastic court battle.
Whereas, in the A Grade, Emyvale clubman Callum Gallagher defeated Tyrone's Eilise McCrory on a score-line of 18-15. While, in the B final, Antrim's Steven O'Neill took home gold following victory over Tyrone’s Jerry Keenan, ending 21-8.
Finally, in the master’s final, Wexford's David Stanners took on Emyvale's Peter Larkin with both displaying impressive shots and athleticism throughout.
Stanners claimed the title, 21-12.
The inaugural Monaghan Wallball open handball tournament took place in Beech Hill College, Monaghan Town, hosted by the Monaghan county handball board.
