The Republic of Ireland women’s team have been drawn in 2023 World Cup qualifying Group A, alongside Sweden, Finland, Slovakia and Georgia.
Vera Pauw's side are looking to make their first ever major tournament and face a tough task with Sweden currently ranked number five in the world.
Finland are ranked 24th with Pauw’s side currently ranked 34th.
The winners of each group automatically qualify for the tournament, with all runners-up entering play-offs to decide two more places, and a final place will be determined in the play-off tournament in Australia and New Zealand before the main tournament.
England and Northern Ireland will face each other in Group D as they bid to make the finals that will be held in Australia and New Zealand.
