The FAI has confirmed that the Republic of Ireland will play two international friendlies against Norway and Malta in November.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland could be the star attraction as Norway visit the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, 17th November.
Haaland is arguably the most prolific striker in world football and it’s hoped he’ll line out for the Norwegians alongside Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard.
Three days later, the Boys in Green travel to Ta' Qali to face Malta, the same day that Qatar host Ecuador in the World Cup opener.
Norway are currently ranked 36th in the FIFA World Rankings, 11 places above Ireland, while Malta sit in 169th position.
Ireland are currently focused on the Nations League however. On Saturday, Stephen Kenny’s men face Scotland at Hampden Park before playing host to Armenia three days later.
