Ireland will meet England in the European nation’s league.
The draw for the 2024/25 nations has pitted Ireland with England, Finland and Greece in group two. The match schedule will be confirmed later.
The first set of fixtures will be played in September.
Ireland last played a competitive fixture against England in Wembley in 1991. A game which finished 1-1 and saw England pip Jack Charlton's team to the 1992 European Championships by one point.
The sides have met in four friendlies game since that meeting. The most famous being the meeting in 1995 in Lawnsdowne road which was abandoned due to crowd trouble.
Of the other three meetings, two have been draws with England scoring a 3-0 win in Wembley in November 2020.
England are currently ranked third in the World Rankings having finished second at Euro 2020.

Ireland last faced Finland in the 2020/21 Nations league with Finland scoring 1-0 wins over Stephen Kenny’s side home and away.
Finland are ranked 59th in the World Rankings, one place above the boys in green. The Fins travel to Wales in their Euro 2024 play-off semi-final.

While Greece last visited Dublin last September and recorded a 2-0 win, having beaten Ireland in Athens the previous June. Greece are currently ranked 47th in the World rankings. Greece host Kazakhstan in their Euro 2024 play-off semi-final.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland were drawn with Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Belarus in League C. Whereas, Wales will meet Iceland, Montenegro and Turkey in League B group four.
Meanwhile, Scotland make their League debut against Croatia, Portugal and Poland.
The group stage of the nation’s league will take place in September, October and November 2024.
The FAI are set to announce a new senior team manager next week after Stephen Kenny departed.
