The GAA have confirmed the arrangements for the inter-provincial series which will showcase the the proposed new rule changes. Croke Park will host the fixtures on Friday October the 18th and Saturday the 19th. Leinster will play Connacht at 6pm followed by Ulster and Munster at 8 with the 2 defeated sides to meet the next day followed by the meeting of the 2 semi final winners. A Number of rules be trialled includes a scoring arc that would give an opportunity to take a score worth 2 points, a goal now been worth 4 points, 3 of your team having to remain in their own half of the field, only 2 players contesting for the throw up at the start of the game and the goal keeper having to kick the ball beyond the 40 metre arc from the 20 metre line.
Cavan and Kildare played a challenge game under the new rules at the weekend in Mullahoran with the chairperson of the review team Jim Gavin in attendance. Speaking to the sports desk he remarked that seeing the actual rules been implemented in a playing environment makes it easier to see the benefit of the changes been planned
Special Congress will convene on November 30 to facilitate the introduction of the trial of rule enhancements for 2025 competitions
