Inniskeen bowed out of the Ulster intermediate hurling championship at the semi-final stage following a 0-26 to 0-9 defeat at home to Middletown Na Fianna.
The result was never in doubt. Middletown led 0-12 to 0-5 at the break. Padraig McGahon accounting for Inniskeen’s entire first-half tally.
Darragh Harnett pushed Middletown 12 points clear on 45 minutes. Inniskeen’s problems were compounded midway three minutes later when Gavin Dooley was sent off.
Middletown kept the scoreboard ticking over in the concluding stages and ran out 17-point winners in the end.
