Inniskeen Grattans moved closer to the Monaghan SFC knockout stages after a three point win over Killany.
Inniskeen led 1-8 to five points at half-time. Sean Jones with Inniskeen’s goal on 17 minutes.
Points from Jones, Gareth Burns (2), Andrew Woods, Tommy Durrin, Conor Gernon and Ciaran McNulty helped Inniskeen into the lead.
The hosts bossed the second-half tagging on an additional five points through Donal Meegan (f), Andrew Woods, Aidan Woods, Paul Meegan and Tommy Durnin.
Indeed, Inniskeen led 1-12 to 10 points on the 60th minute adding points from Meegan and Durnin. Killanny’s Eddie Markey punched a ball to the net in the fourth minute of injury time.
However, it was Inniskeen who prevailed 1-13 to 1-10.
