Inniskeen will meet Castleblayney in the 2024 Monaghan Senior hurling final.
Both teams came through their semi-finals on Sunday to differing degrees with Inniskeen needing extra-time against Carrickmacross.
Inniskeen won out by three points after extra-time, 1-23 to 1-20 after the sides finished 18 points to 1-15 after normal time.
Carrickmacross led the defending champions by two points at half-time, nine points to seven. Oran Kiernan with five first-half points for Carrickmacross including four frees.
The sides exchanged points early in the first-half before Kian Conlon’s goal gave Carrickmacross real hope on 40 minutes.
Inniskeen battled back and drew level in the 60th minute thanks to a Niall Arthur free. However, Oran Kenny converted a free to restore the Carrickmacross lead in injury time.
Indeed up stepped Niall Arthur to draw the game level and send the match to extra-time. Carrickmacross had the upper hand leading by one points at half-time in extra-time.
However, Niall Arthur’s goal three minutes into the second period of extra-time put Inniskeen into a lead they would not surrender.
Inniskeen going onto win 1-23 to 1-20 and book a place in the Monaghan hurling final.
Elsewhere, Castleblayney eased into the final with a 5-26 to seven point victory over Monaghan Harps.
