Mayo manager James Horan has confirmed that Michael Plunkett has been ruled out of the All Ireland qualifier against Monaghan on June 4th but that Oisin Mullin has resumed training ahead of that encounter in Castlebar. The Westeners have gone almost 6 weeks with out competitive action after exiting the Connacht championship at the hands of Galway. Horan brought some clarity to a number of injury rumours that had be circulating in recent days by noting that while they was a number of knocks and bangs as would be expected in any training session, a number of players had returned and are shaping up well. Monaghan meanwhile would appear to have a clean bill of health as they look to get their championship campaign back on track after the Ulster semi final loss to Derry 2 weeks ago.
