Gowna suffered heartbreak as their ulster club championship dreams were shattered in Kingspan Breffni.
The Cavan champions led by two points, three minutes into injury time when Naomh Conail grabbed a last gasp goal.
The Donegal men taking an Ulster semi-final place with a 2-8 to 1-10 victory. The sides were level throughout, even allowing for Naomh Conail to lead 1-5 to 0-4 at half-time.
The sides were locked at two point’s a-piece at the end of the first-quarter. Oisin Pierson and Ryan Donohoe scoring for Gowna either side of two Odhran Doherty points.
Conor Casey and AJ Gallagher exchanged points before Mark McKeever moved Gowna a point ahead on 20 minutes. Eunan Doherty levelled the game before Brendan Dyer put Noamh Conail ahead for the first time on 26 mintues.
60 seconds before the break and it was a four point game. Leo McCloone finding the Gowna net to make it 1-5 to 0-4 at half-time.
The great Gowna comeback
Cian Madden made it a three-point game moments after the restart. The match was all square on 43 minutes as Conor Brady rattled the back of the net.
Jeaic MacCeallbhui and Robbie Fitzpatrick exchanged points as we entered the final 10 minutes level at 1-6 each.
The sides traded blows for the next six minutes. Leo McLoone and Gowna's Tiarnan Madden on 52 minutes. John O'Malley cancelled out Conor Madden’s point with four minutes remaining.
Conor Brady edged Gowna ahead with 60 seconds left. Indeed Cian Madden moved the Cavan champion’s two points ahead as the clock went red.
With the three additional minutes set to elapse Naomh Conaill won a free-kick on the centre of the D.
The Donegal men sent the ball backwards, which was lobbed into the square. A Gowna fist saw the ball land to Conor Casey who broke Gowna hearts with a goal.
