For the second time in as many years, the Cavan SFC final is headed for a replay after Gowna and Ramor United drew ten points apiece at Kingspan Breffni.
Ramor United led seven points to six at half-time before Gowna narrowly shaded the second-half resulting in a stalemate situation.
Gowna were two points clear on six minutes only for Ramor United to lead by the same margin 13 minutes later after hitting four scores on the trot.
On 20 minutes Cian Madden replied with a score for Fintan Reilly’s men. Points from Jack and James Brady saw Ramor United lead by a point at half-time.
The Virginia men restored their two-point cushion 15 minutes into the second-half. That was before Gowna drew level three minutes later thanks to points from Robbie Fitzpatrick and Cian Madden.
The match finished level after Ado Cole and Ryan Donohue traded a point each thereafter. A replay is now required to decide the destination of the Oliver Plunkett Cup for 2021.
The Cavan senior football final replay will take place on Sunday November 14 at 2:30pm in Kingspan Breffni.
