Gowna booked their place in the Cavan SFC final after a one point victory over Crosserlough.
In an end to end game with three first-half goals, Gowna finished strongest holding off Crosserlough.
Just nine minutes where on the clock when Conor Madden found the first goal of the game. Madden taking a high ball and riffling it into the bottom corner.
Two minutes later and Conor Casey raced past the Crosserlough defence and blasted the ball into the net. 2-2 to three points.
While it appeared Gowna were taking control, Stephen Smith smashed the ball into the corner of the goal and all of a sudden the game was level on 27 minutes.
The sides were level at 2-4 to 1-7 at half-time.
Gowna started the second-half stronger. Ryan Brady (2) and Tiarnan Madden moved Gowna ahead. Patrick Lynch responded with a Crosserlough free.
Then came a stream of Gowna scores, Conor Casey, Conor Madden and Cian Madden making it a five point game.
Peter Smith converted a penalty for Crosserlough when it looked all over. Robbie Fitzpatrick and Dara McVeety exchanged points and there was only one in it.
With 60 seconds remaining Adrian Smith equalised for Crosserlough, but it wasn’t over.
Oisin Pearson sent over a beauty of a free-kick and Gowna marched into the Cavan final. Gowna 2-12 Crosserlough 2-11.
