The 2023 champions conceded to early goals and never fully recovered

Having suffered a disappointing loss in last years Monaghan's senior hurling championship final, Castleblayney lifted the Mick Quigley cup for the 7th time in 8 years when they defeated the defending champions Inniskeen on Sunday. 2 early goals from Brian Mc Guigan and Thomas Hughes give Blayney an comfortable lead on the scoreboard and while the Grattens did make inroads into it during the course of the 2nd half, their player/assistant manager Niall Arthur admitted the 2 goals were hard to come back from

Castleblayney will now go forward to represent the county in the Ulster intermediate championship while Inniskeen will face Truagh who made it back to back Junior titles with a victory over Clontibret in a play off to see who goes into the Ulster Junior competition
