Galopin Des Champ wins at Leopardstown again

Galopin Des Champs recorded back-to-back triumphs in the Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown.

Galopin Des Champs recorded a hugely impressive success over stable companion Factor File in the feature on day three of the Leopardstown festival.

Trained by Willie Mullins, bounced out and made all their running, getting into a great rhythm from the get-go.

Fact to File gave chase from the second last and got within a couple of lengths of the winner at the last. However, Galopin Des Champs galloped right out to the line to record a very impressive seven-and-a-half length victory.

Fact to file was back in second with gentleman's game back in third place.

Home by the Lee maintained J.J. Sleven and Joseph O’Brien's fantastic Christmas when the favourite recorded a six length victory over Bob Olinger in the Savills hurdle.

Mark Welch recorded a double after he won the opening maiden hurdle on Kaid D'authie for Willie Mullins. Welch doubled his tally when wins some loose some, won the handicap hurdle for Mark Welch.

And giant haystacks credited Ross Sullivan and Tom Harnie with their first ever Leopardstown Christmas winner after the 15-to-two shot won the competitive second race, the handicap hurdle.
