Corduff reached the Ulster intermediate football semi-finals following a 2-10 to 0-5 win over Saval at Inniskeen.
Corduff were the superior side overall, the contest was littered with ill-discipline. Five red cards were brandished in total.
Saval’s Pat Havern opened the scoring after two minutes. Eight minutes later, Corduff were down to 14 men when Sean McEnaney was sent-off.
Corduff’s Feargal Hanratty subsequently struck four points in succession, Jordan McGarrell added a goal one minute into first-half stoppage time.
Diarmuid Marron slotted over another point on the stroke of half-time, Corduff led 1-5 to 0-1. Saval were made play out the remainder of the game with 13 men as Curtis Sands and Ryan Rice were both sent off before the second-half resumed.
Keith McEnaney gave Corduff a two-point buffer five minutes after the Restart. Eight minutes later, Saval were down to 12 players when Michael McCarthy was sent-off.
Brendan Turley reduced the margin to six points on 55 minutes but Corduff sealed victory hitting 1-2 without reply. John McEnaney scored their second goal three minutes from time and the Monaghan champions were down to 13 men five minutes later as Michael Connolly received his marching orders.
Corduff still won convincingly can now look forward to an Ulster semi-final meeting with Cavan champions Castlerahan on Sunday November 27th.
