Fermanagh hurlers got their Conor Mc Guirk cup campaign off to a winning start last night with a 3-17 to 11 point win over Cavan at Kingspan Breffni. Only a point separated the sides at half time with Jimmy Tormey's goal giving the Ernesiders a 1-08 to 10 point lead. However further goals from Daniel Teague and Luca Mc Cusker who was top scorer for the visitors seen them run out convincing winners. Elsewhere in the competition Queens University Hurling club were 5-24 to 2-09 winners over Louth
