English soccer as announced a weekend ban of social media platforms.
The whole of English football will come together next weekend to make a stand against people within the game being abused on social media.
Organisations including the Football Association, Premier League, EFL and Women's Super League will boycott social media.
It will run from 3pm on Friday until a minute before midnight on Monday.
Premier league chairman Richard Masters said, “Racist behaviour of any form is unacceptable and the appalling abuse we are seeing players receive on social media platforms cannot be allowed to continue.”
