Drumhowan bow out of Ulster junior championship on penalties

Drumhowan bowed out of the Ulster junior championship after a crushing penalty kick defeat to Craigbane.

The Monaghan junior champions where oh so close to making the Ulster final before drawing 1-11 each after extra-time. Then going to lose five-four on penalties.

Caolan Reilly 40th minute goal saw Drumhowan lead 1-9 to four points. However, the Monaghan side failed to score again in the half as the game finished 1-9 each.

A further 20 minutes could not separate the sides as they headed for penalties 1-11 each. The Derry men progressed to the final after Jo Duffy missed the opening penalty and Craigbane won out 5-4 on penalties.
