The Ulster quarter-final pairing of Monaghan versus Tyrone is the tie of the round as the draw was made for the 2023 Ulster senior football championship.
It marks a tough start to championship football for new Monaghan boss Vinny Corey’s and it’s also a rematch of the 2021 Ulster final where the Farney men lost by a single point.
Should Monaghan emerge victorious; they’ll advance to play either Fermanagh or reigning champions Derry in the last four.
Meanwhile, 2020 Ulster champions Cavan await the winners of the preliminary round meeting of Armagh and Antrim.
A win for Mickey Graham’s side would secure a semi-final place against either Down or Donegal.
Draw in full:
Armagh v Antrim – Preliminary Round
Cavan v Armagh/Antrim – Quarter-Final D
Fermanagh v Derry – Quarter-Final A
Tyrone v Monaghan – Quarter-Final B
Down v Donegal – Quarter-Final C
Fermanagh/Derry v Tyrone/Monaghan – Semi-Final
Down v Donegal v Cavan/Armagh/Antrim – Semi-Final
