The competition will get underway early in the New Year
The draw for the Bank of Ireland Dr Mc Kenna cup took place last night (Wed 15th) with this years competition involving only the 9 senior teams in Ulster having previously included a number of 3rd level institutes. Cavan were drawn in Group B along with the Dr Mc Kenna cup holders, and Ulster and All Ireland champions Tyrone as well as Armagh. Monaghan are in Group C with Derry and Fermanagh while Group A is made up of Donegal, Down and Antrim. The provincial CCC will meet his coming Sunday to confirm the times and dates for the opening rounds of the competition which will get underway in the early part of the New Year.
