Cavan Under-20 manager Damien Donohoe is calling for the GAA to clarify the roadmap for the All-Ireland intercounty Under-20 grade.
Last Thursday, The GAA released their fixtures plan for the year, with the Allianz Hurling League leading the return to action on May 8th and 9th.
It was announced the Football Championship won’t have any qualifiers and neither London nor New York will be involved this year.
The Cavan u-20 manager outlined on Saturday Sport that there is no guideline to when the competition will be played. He says the intercounty, club players and under-17 players have some idea of what is happening with them but the under-20’s haven’t been informed.
He says "these players have sacrificed so much in their lives and they needed a bit of clarity. A bit of clarity would have gone a long way and I’m disappointed the GAA have ignored the needs of these players that are very vulnerable at this moment in time”
