Derry booked a place in the Dr McKenna Cup final after a four point win over Armagh.
Mickey Harte’s side winning out 0-17 to 2-7 at the Athletic Grounds.
The sides were level on four points apiece before Sean Conlon hammered the ball to the Derry net.
The Ulster champions responded with three points on the bounce from Shane McGuigan (1f), drawing things level come the interval.
The sides where level 1-4 to seven points at half-time.
McGuigan kept the points coming for the Derry after the turnaround with a brace. However, Ben Crealy punched in the rebound of Cian McConville’s 38th minute effort for the hosts to storm in front.
Kieran McGeeney’s men would only register three further points. Whereas, McGuigan and Padraig McGrogan sailed over at the other end to steer Derry back in front.
Oisin O’Neill levelled the games before Mickey Harte’s charges saw out the win through scores from Paul Cassidy, McGuigan (2) and Eoin McEvoy.
Derry will face either Donegal or Monaghan next Saturday for the McKenna Cup title. Monaghan host Donegal in Castleblayney at 1pm on Sunday.
