Derry made it three wins from three cruising past Monaghan 3-17 to 0-13 at Celtic Park.
Shane McGuigan was on song early on for the Ulster champions as they opened up a 0-8 to 0-2 lead.
Monaghan seemed to have found their feet through points from Joel Wilson and Jack McCarron. However they were hit by a sucker-punched, Conor McCluskey goal in the 27th minute.
Derry led 1-9 to 0-6 at half-time after three Jack McCarron points gave the farney men hope.
The sides were toe-to-toe in the early stages of the second. However, Padraig McGrogan finished to the net in the 49th minute and the gap became too much.
