Denn landed the Cavan junior football championship with a convincing 2-11 to 1-7 win over Drung in Kingspan Breffni.
Denn opened the scoring after a Thomas Edward Donohoe on three minutes. Tiarnan Reilly equalised for Drung four minutes later.
Sean Donohoe sent over Denn’s point on 12 minutes with Cian McCann adding a third two minutes later, either side of Declan McEntee’s point for Drung.
Reilly equalised for Drung on 15 minutes with Caolan Reilly inching them ahead with a free moments later. Donohoe equalised from play nine minutes before half-time.
Reilly moved Drung back in front five minutes before the break before Ben Conaty rattled the Drung net 60 seconds later to leave the score 1-4 to five points at half-time.
Denn moved further clear after the restart thanks to a Conaty point and a Donohoe free. Cavell Keogan sent over another point 14 minutes into the second-half.
Donohoe made it 1-8 to six points with nine minutes remaining and added a mark a minute later. Tiarnan Reilly sent over a Drung point with five minutes left to make it a five point game.
Ben Conaty restored the lead to six with 57 minutes on the clock.
Donohoe drilled the ball into the Drung net in the 60th minute to seal the title for Denn. Declan McEntee scored a goal for Drung five minutes into injury but the game was up.
Denn win out 2-11 to 1-7.
