Denn were crowned Ulster club junior football champions following a magnificent seven-point victory over Downings at Clones today.
The sides were deadlocked at 1-2 to 0-5 at the half-time break before a strong second half saw Denn win 3-8 to 0-10 in the end.
A Sean Donohue goal on 13 minutes saw the Cavan champions lead 1-1 to 0-2 at the first water break while Cavell Keogan was also on target.
On 21 minutes, Denn moved three points clear when Thomas Edward Donohue slotted over a score but Downings replied with a hat-trick of points to restore parity by half-time.
The sides traded a point each within seven minutes of the restart before Denn hit four points on the trot to lead by the same margin at the three-quarter mark.
On 49 minutes, Denn stretched their lead to seven points when James Brady found the net and ten minutes later, Mark McSherry added a third goal as the Cavan men ran out convincing winners.
