The opening round of the Senior club championship in Cavan has seen a defeat for the defending champions Crosserlough as Ramor Utd staged a strong final quarter in their meeting last night (Thursday) to win out 1-12 to 14 points. Gareth Mannion got the goal for Ramor midway through the 2nd half after they had trailed by 3 points at the break, but Crosserlough replied to take a one point lead into injury time before 2 points from Sean Mc Evoy seen the game go in favour of Ramor. The round 2 draw will see Crosserlough taking on Cavan Gaels while Ramor United will face Ballinagh.
The other fixtures this weekend in round 1 will see Gowan taking on Killygarry at 8pm this evening (Friday) while tomorrow Lavey face Castlerahan, Kingscourt take on Sherock and its Laragh up against Lacken. All those games throw in at 6pm with Ballinagh and Cavan Gaels meeting on Sunday at 1pm.
