Crosserlough landed their 11th Cavan county title on a day where Storm Ashley ruined good football.
The sides exchanged early scores through Emmet Boylan and Matthew Smith. One point each after four minutes. It would take 14 minutes for the next score, Crosserlough’s Brandon Boylan converting a free.
Cathal Maguire levelled the scores on 23 minutes and the sides went into the half-time break, two points each.
Indeed, Boylan restored Crosserlough’s lead four minutes into the second-half. Matthew Smith added his second point through a free to level the game on 44 minutes.
James Smith moved Crosserlough back in-front four minutes later. However, Conor Rehill grabbed a telling Crosserlough goal with seven minutes remaining.
When Stephen Smith added another point 60 seconds later, it looked an uphill task for Ramor. While, playing into the wind, James Bradley converted a free, one minute into injury time.
Matthew Smith added his second free of the day to make it a five point game a minute later.
Then Stephen Smith put it beyond Ramor as he smashed in a goal in the fourth minute of injury time as Crosserlough won out 2-6 to 0-4.
