Cremartin scored a late winner to seal a one-point victory over Aughnamullen in their Monaghan SFC group game.
Cremartin taking victory 2-13 to 1-17 and sending Aughnamullen into the relegation play-off. Aughnamullen had led at half-time 2-7 to 10 points.
Two first-half goals from Michael Bannigan saw Cremartin ahead at the break. David Hanley found the Cremartin net, 15 minutes into the second-half to level the game.
The sides were 2-11 to 1-14 heading into the final quarter. Bannigan and Tiernan Buckley exchanged points before Jamie Mooney put Cremartin ahead with five minutes to play.
A Bannigan free levelled the game four minutes from time. Indeed, Paddy McNally landed the winning point from Cremartin with 40 seconds of injury time remaining.
The result leaves Cremartin fourth in group one of the Greenfield foods Monaghan SFC. Whereas, Aughnamullen are bottom of the group and eliminated from the championship.
