The Monaghan minors of 2020, will return back to action for the first time in over 6 months when they contest the Ulster semi final this Saturday at 3pm in Kingspan Breffni against Fermanagh. The provincial championship was delayed from last year due to the Covid 19 lockdown with the 2 semi finals to be played along with the final before the competition moves into the All Ireland series. Monaghan are the current defending champions, as they look to make it a 3 in a row of titles. Tyrone and Derry will contest the other semi final on Saturday at 1pm in the Athletic grounds in Armagh.
The Ulster senior championship will also get underway this weekend with Down and Donegal meeting in the preliminary round in Newry on Sunday at 1pm. The winner of that will face Derry in the quarter final. This years championship will run to the same format as last year, with it been a straight knockout competition.
