Fixtures have seen a drop in attendances

The All-Ireland championship and the Tailteann cup continues this weekend with a full round of fixtures across Saturday and Sunday.

Monaghan, Cavan and Roscommon will all be looking to claim their first points having suffered defeats to Kerry, Mayo and Dublin respectively in the opening round.

The Farney side welcome Louth to Clones. Whereas, Dublin are the visitors to Kingspan Breffni. While it is an all Connacht affair as Mayo make the trip to Dr. Hyde Park to take on Roscommon.

In the Tailteann cup Longford face Waterford in Portlaoise while Leitrim are up against Kildare. Indeed, both Leitrim and Kildare are already through to the knock out stages.

There has been much comment around the low attendance numbers at fixtures so far this year and the number of injuries been picked up by players.

While the split season is favoured by the majority of inter-county players; former Monaghan player Dick Clerkin remarked that the condensed nature, could have a long term effect on the sport.
