Clontibret opened their Monaghan senior football campaign with a dramatic victory over Inniskeen.

Clontibret scoring a two point victory, 2-10 to 14 points with two goals from Darragh Hughes in the first-half.

There was drama in the final minute when Inniskeen had a goal ruled out for a square ball.

Elsewhere in the Monaghan championship on Sunday Killanny scored a last gasp victory over Donaghmoyne. Whereas, on Saturday Scotstown got the better of Ballybay and Corduff beat Cremartin.
