Aidan McCarthy, Mark Rogers and Tony Kelly scored Clare’s goals in normal time; as the banner landed their first All-Ireland title since 2013.
Cork ace Patrick Horgan held his nerve to send this afternoon’s thrilling final at Croke Park to extra time.
Having become the all-time top scorer in the hurling championship history during the first-half with his third point of the game; Horgan grabbed some more crucial scores for the Rebels in the second-half.
However, none were more important than this free in the sixth minute of injury-time to rescue a 1-27 to 3-21 draw for Pat Ryan’s men.
We're going to extra-time after a wonderful 70 minutes
