Monaghan's Christina Mc Mahon has moved back to be the number 1 European Superfly weight following her weekend win over Andrea Jenei of Hungary. The Carrickmacross boxer made a surprise return to the ring in Luxembourg on Saturday night having last fought in 2015, but certainly should no ring rust as she dominated the fight from the opening bell and claimed a stoppage win in the 3rd round of the 6 round bout. Christina who goes by "Lightning" in the ring due to her movement and speed remarked that the recent Covid lockdown had seen her maintain her conditioning and fitness should the opportunity arise to lace up the gloves again.
Elsewhere in the boxing world, Las Vegas based Larry Fryers is set to make a return this Saturday night. The Clones man is set to face Top Rank prospect 18 year old Xander Zayas who is undefeated in 8 fights with 6 of his victories coming via knockouts.
