Cavan U16 camogs, waltzed into the U16 C championship final after a 11-10 to 2-3 win over Donegal.
The Breffni women under management of Darragh Madden would prove to be outstanding in this battle.
Castletara’s Sarah Devine opened the first of the days 11 goals. The Cavan camogs would apply the pressure thick and heavy. Kate McSeain, Siun O’Sullivan, Sarah Maloney and Eabha Tierney all registering scores in the opening 20 minutes.
19 minutes where on the clock, before Donegal found their scoring zone with a skilful goal.
The Breffni women pushed hard as the game entered first-half injury time. Getting a number of scores on the board to create a gap before the interval.
Bailieboro’s Siun O’Sullivan would get Cavan started with the scores in the second-half with a wonderful point.
Shercock’s Grace Ruxton got her second goal of the day in the fifth minute after some fantastic display of skills from around the park.
Cavan would continue to steam roll Donegal with a number of scores throughout the second-half.
Donegal unfortunately didn’t get their opportunity to get a score on the board until the 24th minute of the clash.
This strong Cavan side was too strong for the Donegal women and finished the game with another goal from play.
Cavan will now play Tyrone on 23rd July in Inniskeen, Monaghan in the U16C all Ireland championship Final.
