Cavan to face Down in Tailteann Cup

The draw for the Tailteann cup first round has been made this morning with 2 preliminary rounds in the Southern Section while its a round 1 draw in the Northern group. Following their loss to Donegal in the Ulster semi final Cavan enter the new competition on the back of their Division 4 status from 2022 which they did win and they will now face Down on May 28th as the Mourne men were relegated to Division 3 this  year and crashed out of the provincial competition with a loss to Monaghan.
