Cavan shocked Monaghan to secure a place in the Ulster U20 football quarter-finals.
The Breffni side scored a very well deserved 11 point victory in Inniskeen, 1-11 to three points.
Cavan were the better side throughout and Darragh Lovett found the Monaghan net after seven minutes.

Tiarnan Madden moved Cavan 1-1 to no score ahead on 13 minutes. Ronan Boyle got Monaghan’s first score a minutes later.
Peter Devine and Fionntan O’Reilly helped Cavan to a 1-5 to one point half-time lead.
Monaghan could only manage two second-half points via Tiernan Kearns and Stephen Mooney.

Points from Darragh Lovett, Eoghan Hartin, Madden (2), Devine, Stephen Mooney and O’Reilly helped Cavan to the 1-11 to three point victory.
