Ramor United maintained their perfect start to the Cavan SFC beating Butlersbridge 0-10 to 0-6 at the Lavey GAA grounds.
Ramor United made a blistering start and led 0-4 to no score before the sides traded two points each making it 0-6 to 0-4 at half-time.
A Liam Brady point saw the defending champions move seven points clear 12 minutes into the second half. Butlersbridge responded with three unanswered points but still fell short in the end.
Meanwhile, Gowna defeated Laragh United 2-10 to 0-15 at Ballinagh.
The game was evenly contested throughout and goals from Conor Casey and Aaron Brady helped Gowna to a one-point lead at the break; 2-4 to 0-9.
The sides traded six points each during the second half as Gowna prevailed by the smallest of margins and are now off the mark as a result.
