The final round of the Kiernan service station Cavan senior football championship takes place this Sunday.
With just one round remaining four teams have booked a place in the quarter-finals. Crosserlough, Kingscourt Stars, Killygarry and Gowna are all guaranteed a quarter-final place.
Of the six games remaining, Kingscourt Stars versus Killygarry is effectively a dead-rubber as both have made the last eight.
Whereas, Ramor united with four points on the board are odd’s on to grab one of the four remaining places. Ramor face already qualified Gowna.
The game with most to be play for is the meeting of Cavan Gaels and Lacken. With, both sides on two points, this will be winner takes all. A draw might also be enough for both sides to make it through.
Wheras, the expectation is four points will secure a quarter-final spot, Laragh United and Ballinagh both sit on two points. Wins in their games against Mullahoran and Lavey respectively should be enough.
Meanwhile, with no points on the board, Castlerahan, Lavey and Mullahoran all need a victory or it will be a relegation play-off.
However, odds are against Castlerahan getting anything out of their game with Crosserlough.
Final positions tell everything in the quarter-final shake-up with 1v8, 2v7, 3v6 and 4v5 as the fixtures.
All games throw-in at two o’clock on Sunday with coverage on Sunday Sport.
