The Cavan minor footballers bowed out of the Ulster championship at the quarter-final stages following a 1-14 to 0-15 defeat to Tyrone at Omagh.
Tyrone narrowly shaded the scoring exchanges during the first half and led 1-9 to 0-9 at the break. Liam McGeary’s goal separating the sides.
Cavan’s Tadhg Sheils made it a one-point game five minutes into the second half. Shea McDermott restored Tyrone’s two point cushion three minutes later.

The sides cancelled each other out thereafter as Cavan missed out on a semi-final place.
