Monaghan and Cavan get their Allianz league campaigns underway this Saturday.
Cavan are first into action in Division 2, travelling to Netwatch Cullen Park to take on Kildare at 5pm. The Lilywhites have nominated the Carlow venue as their home ground due to development works in Newbridge.
It will be first league outing also for new Breffni manager Raymond Galligan who is still awaiting his first win following defeats to Derry and Down in the Bank of Ireland Dr. Mc Kenna cup.
Speaking after exiting the McKenna Cup at the group stage, the former goalkeeper noted that they would take a number of learnings from those outings.

Other fixtures in Division 2, see’s Fermanagh away to Meath, Armagh host Louth and Cork make the long trip to Donegal. At 7:30 in Croke Park Monaghan face Dublin in Division 1.
Whereas, the Farney side's last outing in 2023 was an All-Ireland semi-final defeat to the Dubs at GAA headquarters. This will be their first league meeting since March 2022 in Clones. Where, a win for the hosts saw Dessie Farrells charges relegated to Division 2. The Dubs gained promotion last year.

Other fixtures in division one see’s Derry making the trip to Austin Stack Park to take on Kerry on Saturday evening at 5:30. On Sunday Galway and Mayo meet in Salthill while Roscommon are the visitors to O'Neill's Healy park to face Tyrone.
