Cavan cruised to a 4-11 to 2-10 victory over Tyrone at Healy Park in Omagh as they continue their perfect start to the Lidl Ladies National Football League.
The result was never in doubt and the Breffni women led 3-6 to 1-5 at the interval.
Geraldine Sheridan found the net in the first quarter while Lauren McVeety did likewise from a penalty as Cavan held a five point buffer at the water break.
Lauren McVeety then doubled her goal tally in the 22nd minute as she stretched Cavan’s lead to ten points.
Four minutes later, Niamh O’Neill replied with a goal for Tyrone but they still found themselves seven points down at the break.
Six minutes after the restart Niamh O’Neill grabbed her second goal but Cavan responded in impressive fashion as Roisin O’Keefe scored their fourth goal of the day moving them nine points clear.
The hosts outscored their opponents thereafter but Cavan held on for a seven point win.
