Seanie Johnston was in sensational form as Cavan Gaels made it two wins from two in the Hotel Kilmore Cavan Senior Football Championship.
Johnston chipped in with 1-8 as the Cavan town club enjoyed a comprehensive victory over Mullahoran winning by 1-20 to 1-4.
It took Mullahoran 28 minutes to get off the mark as they trailed by 1-13 to two points at half-time.
The South Cavan men found the net in the second half through Sean Keogh but it was too little too late.
Elsewhere it finished honours even between Gowna and Lavey as it ended 18 points to 1-15.
The first half was a template for the remainder of the game to follow where the sides were deadlocked at eight points apiece at the break.
Gowna later opened up a four point lead before Shane Tierney scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute.
The game was evenly contested thereafter as Gowna and Lavey shared the points.
