Cavan footballer signs for Hibernian

Jake Doyle Hayes has signed for the Scottish Premiership club Hibernian. The Cavan native who was also a target for Dundee United joins the Edinburgh club as a free agent having been released by Aston Villa last summer and then joined St Mirren where he helped the club achieve their best season in 32 years as they finished 7th in the Scottish top flight.

Having been a former Republic of Ireland U21, Doyle Hayes now links up with a Hibs side who are set to compete in the Europa Conference League after their 3rd place finish in the Scottish Premiership last season.
