A convincing performance and victory for Cavan ladies over Carlow in Kingspan Breffni in the Lidl league.
Cavan very much started as they intended to go on and it was very much a mismatch from minute one. A quick fire goal after just two minutes.
There were four points in the opening five minutes, Cavan produced their second goal four minutes later.
Michaela Fitzpatrick and Ellyanna Madden controlled proceedings from the middle of the park. The hosts grabbed further two goals before the interval. The hosts leading 4-16 to no score at the break.
The second-half didn't provide much change in flow. However, Carlow did start to create more chances and managed to convert 1-4 in the second period.
Cavan however continued to shoot sharply, and managed to bury another two goals, while keeping the points ticking over at the same time.
A 28 point gap between the two teams at full time as the breffni ran out convincing winners, 6-17 to 1-4.
