Cavan Eagles got 2023 off to a winning start with a one point win over Griffith College Templeogue.
The missquote.ie division one leaders, didn't have it all their own way and trailed for the games majority.
The Dublin outfit led the first-quarter 17-11 and then led 29-25 at half-time. A Templeogue three pointer in the third quarter seemed enough to secure victory.

Trailing 41-35, Eagles played an excellent final-quarter adding eight points from the free-throw line. Eagles winning out 51-50 to remain top of division one.
