East Cavan Eagles bowed out of the InsureMyHouse.ie Women’s Division 1 National Cup after defeat to Portlaoise Panthers.
The Panthers won out 76-74 after a dramatic last-quarter comeback by the Eagles, scoring 28 points late on.
Panther’s led 40-27 at half-time, having led at first-quarter time 18-16. Panthers then pushed forward in the third-quarter, scoring 24 points to lead 64-19.

While Eagles produced a huge last-quarter fight back manging 28-points it wasn’t to be as they lost out by two points, 76-74.
The Panthers now advance to the division one national cup semi-finals.
