Cavan got their premier junior championship off to a wining start with a 4-7 to 1-6 win over Mayo.
Aine Corcoran found the net on 18 minutes and added a second goal two minutes before half-time as Cavan led 3-2 to 0-5 at half-time.
Mayo rallied in the second half but points from Clodagh Keenaghan (2), Josephine Maguire moved Cavan 3-5 to 0-6 clear.

Mayo found the net on 22 minutes but a Keenaghan 65 and a goal and point from Tina Reilly rounded out a 10 point win for Cavan.
