Late points from Oisin Brady and Paddy Lynch saw Cavan record a decisive league victory over Cork.
Ray Galligan’s side scoring a 17 points to 16 win over Cork in Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
The hosts had led 11 points to eight at half-time, as they searched for their first win of campaign.
Cavan’s scores coming from Ciaran Brady, Gerard Smith 0-2, Caoimhin O'Reilly, Paddy Lynch 0-3 and Conor Rehill.
While Cork had scores from Brian Hurley 0-2, Mark Cronin 0-2, Chris Og Jones 0-3, Brian O’Driscoll, Brian Hurley, Eoghan McSweeney and Colm O’Callaghan.
The visitors were level within eight minutes of the restart through points from two points from Paddy Lynch and one from Cian Madden.
A Lynch free saw Cavan lead by a point on 45 minutes. Indeed, soon after Cork would see wing back Luke Fahy dismissed on a second caution.
A further two Lynch points including a free had Cavan lead 15 points to 12 with 18 minutes remaining. Mark Cronin pulled one back for Cork before Padraig Faulkner saw red with seven minute remaining.
Steven Sherlock levelled the game a minute into injury time before Oisin Brady and Lynch moved Cavan two clear with eight minutes added on.
Even though Sherlock pulled one point back for Cork, it wasn’t enough as Ray Galligan’s side landed an important one point victory.
Cavan winning out 17 points to 16. The win see's Galligan's side move to second in Allianz League division two.
